Cottsway has retained the top regulatory ratings for Governance and Viability from the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).
The RSH published the regulatory judgement yesterday (31st October) following a review, with the following ratings which display full compliance by Cottsway:
· Governance grade: G1 – full compliance with the RSH’s Governance standards
· Viability grade: V1 – showing that Cottsway meets the RSH’s viability requirements and has the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.
Providers regulated by the RSH must achieve at least a G2/V2 rating to be compliant and the G1/V1 rating means Cottsway has received the highest rating possible.
The West Oxfordshire-based housing provider manages more than 4,600 homes and houses over 10,000 people in the district, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire:
Chief Executive Vivian Rosser said: “These ratings are really important and we’re delighted to have maintained our high standard – it’s something to be celebrated as regulations have tightened.
“It is positive recognition for everyone at Cottsway and displays that we are in a strong, robust position, which we will continue to build upon as we work to provide around 1,000 more much-needed rental and shared ownership homes for local people over the next five years, while continuing to provide a great service for our existing residents.”
