More affordable homes for West Oxfordshire

Twenty new affordable homes are on their way at a development being built on the outskirts of North Leigh, West Oxfordshire.

We have just exchanged contracts on the new properties being constructed by developer Bewley Homes.

We will have a mix of 2 and 3-bed homes at the scheme, named Marlborough Gardens, off the A4095 Witney Road - 13 properties will be for affordable rent and 7 for shared ownership.

In total, Bewley Homes is building 50 properties at the site along with open spaces for recreational use.

Colin Bloodworth, our Assistant Director of Development and Assets, said: “We are delighted to have exchanged contracts and to be working with Bewley Homes to provide more much-needed affordable housing for West Oxfordshire. We are committed to doing as much as we can to build more affordable homes for people in housing need and this is our latest forthcoming development, with work continuing at other sites that we have both in the district and further afield.

“We look forward to seeing construction work progress and expect these homes to be ready from summer 2021.”

Simon Taphouse, Commercial Director for Bewley Homes, said: “Marlborough Gardens is in a great location on the outskirts of a popular village and with easy access to the A4095 road to Witney and Woodstock, with good links to the A40. We are pleased to be working with Cottsway again and look forward to welcoming all of our new residents.”

Applicants must register on the Help to Buy South website to apply for the shared ownership properties. Alternatively, contact us for more information at: homes@cottsway.co.uk

The affordable rent homes will be advertised on the Homeseeker Plus website closer to the time of completion. All applicants will need to register with West Oxfordshire District Council.
